GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!I can't even begin to explain how much fun I had yesterday . I went to see Kinky and the Raveonettes and it was AMAZING! I can't even begin to put sentences together. But, that's okay.
When did Pasadena become cool? What are the chances that two of my favorite bands in the whole wide world play a free show in Pasadena on the same night? How did I get so lucky? I don't know.
The Raveonettes were so cool! Sharin Foo is pregnant, so she couldn't perform on stage even though she was there. But her sister filled in for her. And honestly, I didn't even know it wasn't her until Sune Rose Wagner mentioned it. I just kept wondering how her hair grew so quickly. But, other than that, they're Sharin and her sister are practically identical. I love how Sune Rose Wagner talks. He would say the cutest things like " It was such a delight playing for all of you today." I got so excited when they played "Attack of the Ghost Riders" and " Love in a Trashcan." I really enjoyed the show. Except for the part when two jerks decided to start hitting on me and my sister. That part was not that fun. They kept trying to talk to us, and I was like, " DUDE! I'M FU
CKING TRYING TO WATCH THE BAND PLAY!!!!"
AND THEN KINKY CAME OUT!!! They were so amazing. As soon as they stepped out on stage the concert became this huge dance party. I was in the second row until these idiots behind me decided to start a mosh pit. I wouldn't have minded if all the people there were around my size. There were like 10 guys, all of them about 3 feet taller than me and 150 pounds heavier just pushing each other. I mean, I'm not a really tiny person, but compared to those guys I was. Everybody kept trying to get them to stop, but they wouldn't. So, finally I pushed one of them back and he stares at me all confused with an expression that read, " Ow! Why did you do that!" And then I just decided to move. And then I danced and danced and danced....and danced some more. It was fun...I think I've repeated that about ten times in this post...but it was.
I think I developed a crush on the bass player. I really like his cowboy hat. I have a think for guys with hats. Butcher has a sombrero, the bass player of Kinky has a cowboy hat....I like hats.
Next up is warped tour. I'm going to the show in Carson. I figured it would be a nice way to end my summer.

sounds awesome, let me listen to some of that next year? I've never heard them.
And those jerks in front of you at the concert!! :( I know how you feel, though. But being a smaller girl has its advantages at times. You can say "oh, I can't see! Can I get in front of you?" It usually works.
helen- thanks for your comment on my post. you're great. i hope all is well for you!
