I'm a lazy bum

I still don't have a job. I've been applying to all these places for the past two weeks, but haven't gotten a response. I had two interviews at Target last Thursday, but I'm not sure how that went. They haven't called me yet.=( I hope it works out, but chances are they aren't going to call me. So, I decided to apply to 20 other places today. I'm hopeful though. I'll get a job eventually. I'm just getting so tired of doing nothing at home, and I need money. I can't even talk to my mom about anything new, because she's there whenever something happens to me.

But in the meantime, I'm going to enjoy having dance parties by myself and watching movies.Recently, I watched Guillermo del Toro's latest film, The Orphanage. I loved it! I thought the film was creepy, but not in the usual way that is seen in most horror/suspense films in which there is a crazy serial killer and everybody dies at the end. Most of the suspense arises from the fact that the viewer has no idea what is going to happen next, and what is real and what is not. I love how del Toro mixes two completely different worlds and does not reveal which is real until the end, and then you realize there was nothing to be afraid of. Even then, he still keeps you wondering. After all, he did a great job at combining dream with reality in Pan's Labyrinth. At the end of the film I wasn't sure whether everything really was a dream or not. And he did an amazing job at combining the after life with the present in The Orphanage.

I also watched The Triumph of Love with Ben Kingsley and Mira Sorvino. I loved how this movie was directed. The story was originally a play. The director would randomly include elements from the modern world. The most clever thing was when the characters would suddenly encounter an audience when interacting with each other.

In other news, I've been trying to watch Bjork's new video for Wanderlust for the past two weeks and still haven't been able to watch it in its entirety.http://youtube.com/watch?v=R8s4AEKrYm0&feature=related. The video is pretty intense. The concept is pretty cool and I love the colors. (Color is very important to me.)Basically, I was really excited to see it when I saw all the still frames. It's just Bjork's voice that makes it a little unbearable. I just don't get it. There are sometimes when I love Bjork's voice because it has so much emotion in it. But then again, sometimes it can get annoying.

But anyway, that's my life right now. GO DANCE TO SOME SUGAR AND GOLD!

Hey babe, I watched that Bjork video... AH! That kind of freaked me out, I'm not gonna lie. Intense and scary. But the other thing I was thinking the whole time was: "What the heck is this? Is it clay?" I think it was claymation. But I am totally not sure.

And you got a job!!! SO YAY!

(Hooray for Sugar and Gold)
