I deleted my old blog.

And I needed a new one. So here it is! I think I'm actually going to use this one.

Life has been hectic these past few days. But, I'll get through the week. I can't complain too much. I have pretty much been on top of things all semester, so I'm not too overwhelmed.

I watched John Water's Pecker this weekend. It's the cutest movie ever. My favorite character was Chrissy. " I WANT SOME CANDY!!!" She reminds me so much of myself when I was a little kid. She's so fucking cute! I especially liked the scene when Chrissy is off Ritalin and she becomes addicted to vegetables. She has rolls up a dollar bill and tries to snort the peas up her nose. I want my kids to be just like her. When I'm older and have kids, I'm going to measure my success as a parent on whether I can get my kids addicted enough to vegetables that they just start snorting up their nose like cocaine. It was so cool to see Cindy Sherman in the film. She was only in there for five minutes, but she has some acting talent. Maybe not. But, it was still cool to see someone we've been talking about in class a lot in a film.

I'm going to miss Art History. I think I bonded with everybody in that class. Except for maybe...Steve..n??? Professor Lewis was awesome. I'm going to miss making fun of him and his pictures of cats. What are Laura and I going to do next semester when we no longer have Art History? We won't have anything to talk about. What a tragedy. I learned a lot in that class though. I learned that

1. Candy Darling is awesome. And if he/she were still alive we would be best friends.

2. Caravaggio may be gay (at least as he is portrayed in Caravaggio). And the peaches in the "Young Bacchus" may represent a penis (according to Steph) or as Professor Lewis put it, are a phallic symbol.

3. David Bowie is awesome as Andy Warhol.

4. I learned a lot of other useful things. But I'm too lazy to write them down.

I procrastinated a lot this weekend. I could have started packing, finished writing two of my papers, sold back my books, and who knows what else I could have done. But, instead I spent the weekend listening to the "thong song" and choreographing a dance routines to "Ms New Booty." Go me! Laura and I also made a playlist for our mentees. I think I'm going to get finish doing laundry then write my essays now.
