Have you watched the movie "Failure to Launch"?

Do you know what movie I'm talking about? It's that really crappy movie that Sarah Jessica Parker was in about two years ago after she decided that she was going to try to have a movie career after Sex and the City went off the air. Well, we all know how that went. Now, remind me how many movies SJP has been in since. ( The new Sex and the City Movie does not count!)

Unfortunately, Failure to Launch was not that great. Honestly, I really don't even remember what it was about . All I remember is wanting it to end. But you know what made the movie bearable? The answer would be Zoey Deschanel's character. Not many actresses can play a character that is both witty and sarcastic without coming across as total bitch. She's just straight out hilarious. I loved her in Almost Famous. And who can forget her spectacular performance in Jimmy Fallon's Idiot Boyfriend music video.

I think I'm starting to sound like I'm obsessed with Zoey Deschanel. And I am. She's one of those people that you are extremely jealous of and if you could you would find every single flaw they have and ridicule them. Unfortunately, you come to realize that you cannot make fun of them because they are just so freakin amazing. So instead you end up writing really long blog posts about how awesome they are and how you wished you looked like them. Before I forget, somebody please remind me to write one of these blog posts for Professor Lewis.

Before I continue this love fest, I think I should explain why I was motivated to write this post. I've been hearing about Scarlett Johansson's solo album for months. And let's just say that after listening to the album I wasn't too surprised when I saw this http://music.yahoo.com/read/news/29800018. I think Scarlett is a great actress, but she just doesn't cut it as a singer. Not that I should be saying anything, because neither do I. And it's okay if Scarlett wants to explore new creative outlets. Many actresses do, i.e. JLo, and although they may not be that talented they sure are successful at it. But, my issue is how over hyped her debut album was. There are so many people out there with talent who are working hard to get exposure. And then somebody like Scarlett Johansson is mentioned in almost every entertainment magazine without even having released an album just because she's famous. So, I'm getting tired of writing and I should just get to the point. I'm not trying to diss Scarlett or anything like that. I just really think you should go listen to Zoey's band instead. If you've seen Elf you'll know that she can actually pull off the whole Actress/Songstress thing. And instead of just saying that I wrote a whole page of nothing. So go listen http://www.myspace.com/sheandhim
